Harry Potter means different things for different people

I really enjoyed the two contrasting Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows reviews in the November 29th Argus. As a huge Potter fan, I loved Rita Skeeter’s article because I totally agree with everything she wrote. Harry Potter has been a huge part of my life since I was 9 years old, and now it is coming to an end with the release of these last two movies.

Danny Bacsa’s article totally made me laugh, as I am assuming he never read the books and is watching the movie without any expectations. I had to put aside my outrage at his comments (LEAVE WON WON ALONE <3) because I know the movie is a COMPLETELY different experience for those who read and love the books, and for those who did not.

It’s so cool how a movie like this can open worldwide and mean so many different things for so many different people. Over the past few months I have enjoyed the Potter debates going on in the media and amongst my peers.

We are all entitled to our opinion, but for me, I will always, always love Harry Potter. It is my growing up years, and things like Harry Potter just stay in your heart all warm and fuzzy, and I am grateful for that.

PS: In regards to Danny’s comment about the horcrux being hidden “in the grave of some guy whose name rhymes with Rumble Roar”. If that is the case the students will never get the last horcrux. Rumbleroar’s the headmaster lion at Pigfarts, and Pigfarts is on Mars. You need a Rocketship. Do you have a Rocketship, Danny?

Love and Potter forever,

Cho Chang, Y’all
